The McInroy Maines Quinte Red Devils U18 team had a busy week with 3 games in the line up but no luck in knocking the losing streak.
The Devils played host to a midweek match up against the Ajax Pickering Raiders. Quinte struck first with an unassisted goal from Deke Osterhout. The lead was short lived as the Raiders snuck two past the Devils tender before the end of the first. Avery Wease scored in the second on the set up from Brody Nielissen but it would not be quite enough to shut down the opponent as the Raiders took the win 2-5 over the Devils. Goal tending duties were covered by Bejamin Lind-Milekvist.
Game two of the week had the Devils at home to face the Oshawa Generals. The Generals struck first and caught the Devils off guard as they continued the onslaught to take the final game 1-5 over the Quinte team. Osterhout scored the lone goal of the game on the set up from Evan Erwin. Lind-Milekvist was in net for the loss.
Game three of the week had the U18s on the road to Markham to face the Waxers. The change in venue didn't help shake the streak as the team faced another loss with a score of 3-6 at the hands of the Waxers. Goals for QRD came from Wease, Dylan Murdoch and Nielissen. Assisting in the game were Osterhout, Nielissen, Isaac Krentz and Sam Thompson. Ryan Jacobs was in net for the loss.
