Minor Bantam, 2016-2017 (Quinte Red Devils)

The Vanderlaan Minor Bantams finish out the season as ETA finalist after losing to Richmond Hill in the ETA Finals.  The team would like to thank their sponsor Vanderlaan Building Supplies for their support this season. 

The Vanderlaan Building Supplies Minor Bantams were undefeated in the ETA semi-finals against Kingston and Clarington, and Quinte now move on to the ETA finals.

The Vanderlaan Minor Bantams faced the Central Ontario Wolves in the first round of playoffs. The Devils would start slow losing the first two games 3-0 and 2-1. The lone goal for Quinte was scored by Alex Case assisted by Ben White.  In a must win situation the Devils would pull off a 4-1 win at home with goals coming from Nathanial Burelle, Daniel Michaud, Jett Butler and Gavin Camp.  Helpers from Blake Maracle (2), Daniel Michaud, Ben White and Isaac Uens. Ethan Fraser was in net for the win and Ben White was awarded player of the game.

On Tuesday February 9th, the Devils tied the Clarington Toros on home ice, 1-1. Scoring for the Devils was Alex Case, assisting was Ben White. Ethan Fraser was in net.  The final game of regular season Quinte host the Oshawa Generals. The Devils had a convincing 6-0 win over Oshawa with goals from Ben White (3), Brock Kelsh, Nathanial Burelle, and Daniel Michaud. The Vanderlaan Building Products Minor Bantams had only two games this past week. On February 4th, Quinte hosted the Peterborough Petes. The two teams battle hard and the game was scoreless until two minutes left when Aiden Treverton tucked the game winning goal into the back of the net. Daniel Michaud and Nathanial Burelle with the assist. Ethan Fraser with the shutout and was awarded player of the game.
