Weekly Report Feb. 5-11
The Madison Excavating Minor Peewees closed up their regular season this past Saturday with a successful sponsor appreciation event  and another win on the ice. The 2006 team once again took the number one spot in the east division of the ETA for the season. Many thanks from all team members for the ongoing support of our many team sponsors and supporters.

Saturday saw the Devils play host to the Peterborough Petes on the FDC ice at QSWC.  The game got started quickly for the Devils as they secured an early lead with a shot from Beckett Ewart that found the back of the Petes net. Assisting on goal number one was Liam Philip and Deacon Ellis. Quinte would continue with the offence scoring another two goals before the close of the first. Additional goals in the first came from Thomas Kuipers and Carson Campbell. Assists came from Braedyn Rogers, Philip and Gage Butcher. The second saw the Petes score a few of their own but the Devils wouldn't let up as they score two more to make it a 5-2 game in their favour by the second period buzzer. Scoring in the second was Ty Therrien on the set up from Anthony Nugent and Ellis and Jared Langdon from Nugent. In the third, it was all Devils as they kept the Petes outside of scoring opportunities with strong defence while pushing forward with more offence to score another 2 goals. Scoring in the final set was Langdon and Kuipers with assists going to Philip, Rogers and Butcher.

On Deck; The Madison Excavating Minor Peewees start the first round of playoffs verses the Oshawa Generals in Belleville at the QSWC at 2:15pm and then up to the Legends Centre in Oshawa on Sunday for game two.
