Dec. 11-17 Weekly Report
The McInroy Maines Quinte U18 team spent this past weekend competing in the OMHA Crossover weekend in Whitby facing competitors from the west portion of the association.
Day one of the Crossover had the Devils facing off against the highly ranked Oakville Rangers. Proving to be tough competition, the first period would see the Rangers take a lead in the game and despite an unassisted goal from Deke Osterhout, the Devils could not close in the gap and succumbed to a 1-4 loss. Benjamin Lind-Milekvist minded the net for the Devils for the game.
Day two saw the Devils match up against the Guelph Gryphons. Nolan Donnelly opened the scoring in the game on the set up from Sammy Longo. The Gryphons tied up the game in the dying seconds of the second and after a scoreless third, the teams were headed into another 5 minute overtime. Unfortunately, the ending was not in the Devils favour and it was Guelph who scored in the OT period to end the game 1-2. Ryan Jacobs was in net for the game.
