ETA Battle Royale Tips off Dufton Tourney for Devils
There was no score for 36:45 of this 45:00 game but the last 8:15 was a thrilling tilt between two of the leading ETA Teams at the Wendy Dufton Memorial Tournament. The KKP Minor Midgets had the crowd on their feet in a thrilling 2-1 edging of a solid Barrie Jr Colt team.
It was a skillful contest between the first two teams in the first round robin game of the Wendy Dufton Tournament for the Quinte Red Devils. With only 10 minutes of penalties between the two teams the game was decided by the Men in Black capitalizing on their chances and shutting the door on the opposite side. Scoring the first of those two goals was Zach Wheeler, with a rocket of a shot from the blue, set up nicely Dunkley and Crowe. Devin Morrison (pictured above) was credited with the second and winning effort with help from Hunter and Theo. The goal-tending was stellar again with Evan Morrison in net however, today the goals represented the game perfectly - a solid #TeamFirst victory in which every player played their part with excellent resolve and result!
The Devils campaign continued with a match-up against the always competitive Halton Hurricanes.
