U12s Start November Right with Three More Points
Saturday, November 4th, vs. North Central Predators

On Saturday afternoon, the U12 Madison Excavating Quinte Red Devils faced off against the North Central Predators on home ice in Madoc. The Predators struck early, netting a goal just over two minutes into the game. Determined to turn the tide, the Red Devils managed to even the score with a well-executed goal early in the second period.

In the third period, QRD took a 2-1 lead, continuing their strong play early on in the frame. Near the end, however, they found themselves in some penalty trouble over the last couple of minutes. The Predators were able to capitalize on their 5 on 3 powerplay, tying the game at 2 with thirty seconds left.

Sunday, November 5th, vs. Oshawa Generals

Sunday afternoon, once again in Madoc, the Madison Excavating U12 Quinte Red Devils came to play, this time in a tilt against the Oshawa Generals. QRD dominated much of the game, and found the back of the net for the first time, while on a powerplay in the second period. Heading into the third period with a 1-0 lead, QRD continued to pressure their opponents. With just two minutes and six seconds remaining on the clock, the Red Devils added an insurance marker, putting themselves in a prime position to take the victory. The Generals pulled their goalie in a last-ditch effort to mount a comeback, and QRD secured the 3-0 win by scoring on the empty cage.

Coach’s Corner with Head Coach, Evan Osterhout:
