Gillespie's Tree Service QRD U14’s Weekly Report - March 18, 2024
The Gillespie’s Tree Service U14 Quinte Red Devils capped off the playoffs with their final three games this past weekend.
They kicked it off on Wednesday night in Darlington against Clarington. The Devils finished with a convincing 8-3 win to punch their ticket to the OMHA Championship. Goals came from Laurin(2), Whelan(2), Minifie, Seguin, Kennedy and Clow with assists added by B. Aird(3), Minifie(2), Dahle(2), Whelan, Laurin, Clow and Peeters. Ferriss got the win between the pipes.
The next match of the weekend was Saturday afternoon in Baltimore against the Jr Barrie Colts. After a hard fought game the Devils ended up with the 4-2 win with Gayle in net. Goals were scored by Whelan(2), Minifie and Dahle with assists coming from Clow(2), Minifie, Dewar, Laurin and B. Aird.
To round out the weekend the squad traveled to Ajax Saturday evening to face off with Ajax Pickering. The Devils walked away with the win and a final score of 5-2 with Ferriss in net. Goals came from Minifie(2), Dahle(2), and Whelan, with assists coming from Clow(2), Whelan, Laurin, Harold, Kennedy, Minifie, M. Aird and Seguin.
The Red Devils finish the playoffs with a 9-1 record on their way to the OMHA Red Hat Championship this upcoming weekend in NewMarket!
